Israel will not launch a criminal investigation into the killing of the US-Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh, which Palestinian officers and witnesses have blamed on Israeli troopers.

In an announcement launched on Thursday, the Israel Protection Forces claimed that as a result of Abu Aqleh was killed in an “energetic fight scenario”, an immediate legal investigation wouldn't be launched, although an “operational inquiry” would continue.
