A lady visiting Yellowstone National Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officials mentioned Tuesday.
The 25-year-old lady, who was visiting from Ohio, was not identified in a news release from the park.
The lady approached the female bison Monday morning after it got here close to a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, near Old Devoted geyser, the park stated.

An estimated 2,300 to five,500 bison reside at the park, and so they have injured extra folks than any other animal, the park said.
When the customer got here inside 10 toes of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 toes within the air, the park said.
The lady had puncture wounds and different injuries and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service said. Her condition was unknown Tuesday.
Two other people had been also close to the animal when it gored the lady, the park stated. The release didn’t say if they have been injured.
The park warned people to remain 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and a minimum of 100 yards from bears and wolves.
CORRECTION (June 1, 2022, 12:07 p.m. ET) A previous model of this article misstated the severity of the girl’s injuries. She was gored by a bison and suffered puncture wounds. She was not killed.
