However, it appears some employees need to earn a living from home further. Recently, a whole bunch of workers have resigned when a company asked them to come back to the workplace.
Over 800 WhiteHat Jr staff have resigned from the kids on-line coding studying edtech start-up within the final two months after being asked to work from workplace.
This comes after WhiteHat Jr, a platform which was acquired by BYJU’S in 2020, asked its workers to return to office within a month’s time, based on an Inc42 report.
On March 18, the company announced the policy to end make money working from home and asked remote workers to return to office by April 18.
The resignations got here from full-time employees of the sales, coding, and math teams. Extra employees are expected to place down their papers in the coming months.
One of the staff who resigned advised the website that a month’s time was not sufficient for relocation. “Some have kids, some have aged and sick mother and father, whereas others produce other duties. It isn't right to name again employees in such a brief time frame,” the previous WhiteHat Jr employee stated.
One other employee mentioned salaries also factored within the decision to not return to the office. On the time of hiring, employees have been informed about their job location – WhiteHat Jr has workplaces in Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Nevertheless, after working from dwelling for two years, employees believed that their salaries ought to be revised to replicate the cost of residing in costly cities.
“This was a well-planned and managed layoff that WhiteHat Jr did,” a former employee remarked.
