Household of Abducted Woman Claims Inaction of Dallas Police & Mavs in Sex Trafficking Case

DALLAS - A 15-year-old woman from North Richland Hills is now home after being kidnapped by a person at an April 8 Dallas Mavericks sport at American Airlines Heart. But the household nonetheless seeks solutions, and is charging the Mavs, the AAC and Dallas Police for not appearing swiftly sufficient regarding the crime, which had the lady as part of a sex-trafficking operation.

“She was gone missing a total of 11 days,” attorney Zeke Fortenberry said. “Our intent is that method (the aforementioned organizations) are on notice that we’re pursuing claims towards them for their negligence and other causes of action.''

Fortenberry mentioned the teenager’s father knowledgeable police at the sport when he realized she was lacking. However, in line with the attorney, the father was told to report the allegations to his hometown North Richland Hills Police. 

Fortenberry claims NRH police stated they weren’t able to help as a result of the incident occurred in Dallas.

The lawyer said it was the Houston-based human trafficking agency Texas Counter-Trafficking Initiative that labored to seek out the missing lady, who was being held in an Oklahoma Metropolis motel.

Dallas Police advised WFAA that they adopted protocol'' and that they aided North Richland Hills PD in the search.

The Mavs responded publicly on April 20, after the girl was found, the group releasing the following assertion: “The American Airways Heart (and the Dallas Mavericks) are grateful that the teenager has been found.Each entities will proceed to cooperate with native and regional legislation enforcement on this case.''
