EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Alabama fugitive Casey White was taken into custody in Indiana, and his suspected accomplice, Vicky White, died Monday night from injuries sustained by a self-inflicted gunshot wound as authorities ready to arrest the pair, regulation enforcement sources confirmed.

Update 9:25 p.m. EDT Could 9: Vanderburgh County Sheriff Dave Wedding confirmed Vicky White’s death to The Associated Press just after 9 p.m. EDT Monday. “We got a dangerous man off the road at this time. He's by no means going to see the light of day again, and that’s factor, not only for our neighborhood but that’s an excellent thing for this country,” he added.
