Teen arrested after mother observed son had gun at Texas faculty drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray News) - Several agencies responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mom observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center College around 9 a.m. when she observed the firearm. The teen by no means made it inside the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area along with several other businesses in an attempt to search out him.
The teenager was discovered close to the school’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old could possibly be dealing with a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no threat made to the varsity or anybody inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Middle College was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
