Uvalde police, faculty district now not cooperating with Texas probe of taking pictures: Sources

The Uvalde Police Division and the Uvalde Unbiased Faculty District police power are not cooperating with the Texas Division of Public Safety's investigation into the massacre at Robb Elementary Faculty and the state's evaluation of the legislation enforcement response, a number of legislation enforcement sources inform ABC Information.

The Uvalde police chief and a spokesperson for the Uvalde Independent Faculty District didn't instantly reply to requests for remark from ABC News.

In response to sources, the choice to cease cooperating occurred soon after the director of DPS, Col. Steven McCraw, held a news conference Friday throughout which he stated the delayed police entry into the classroom was "the wrong determination" and contrary to protocol.

Reached by ABC Information, a spokesperson for the Texas Division of Public Security said, "The Uvalde Police Division and Uvalde CISD Police have been cooperating with investigators. The chief of the Uvalde CISD Police offered an preliminary interview but has not responded to a request for a follow-up interview with the Texas Rangers that was made two days in the past."

Last Tuesday's attack, one of many worst school shootings in U.S. history, left 19 kids and two adults lifeless.
