Man arrested in connection with “faculty shooter” signs found in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after multiple indicators saying "school shooter" have been found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Safety announced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple fees. 

An increased amount of cops were positioned at faculties within the communities as a result of the signs. A number of colleges initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the indicators around the communities, the Division of Security said, but they determined there isn't any credible menace right now.

One such sign was written on a paper plate. The safety division launched a photo of the plate however blurred a part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of prison threatening and three misdemeanor fees together with false report to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and legal threatening. He is being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged presently.
