Man arrested in reference to “college shooter” signs present in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A man was arrested Friday after multiple indicators saying "school shooter" have been present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security introduced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of costs. 

An increased amount of police officers had been positioned at schools in the communities on account of the indicators. A number of faculties initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly placed the indicators around the communities, the Division of Security stated, however they decided there is no such thing as a credible threat at this time.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The security department released a photo of the plate but blurred part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of prison threatening and three misdemeanor fees including false report back to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and prison threatening. He is being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged right now.
