Federal agents entered Uvalde college to kill gunman despite native police initially asking them to attend

Federal agents who went to Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday to confront a gunman who killed 19 kids have been told by native police to wait and not enter the varsity — after which decided after about half an hour to disregard that initial steerage and discover the shooter, say two senior federal law enforcement officials.
