Apple has discontinued the iPod, 20 years after it was released.
The US tech big stated its iconic music participant has been changed by other gadgets, making the iPod redundant.
Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice-president of worldwide marketing, mentioned: "At the moment, the spirit of iPod lives on.
"We've built-in an incredible music expertise throughout all of our products, from the iPhone to the Apple Watch to HomePod mini, and across Mac, iPad, and Apple TV.
"And Apple Music delivers industry-leading sound high quality with help for spatial audio - there isn't any better method to get pleasure from, discover, and expertise music."
In October 2001, Steve Jobs debuted the unique iPod and it was the primary MP3 participant that might hold 1,000 songs and had a 10-hour battery life.
"With iPod, Apple has invented an entire new category of digital music participant that lets you put your complete music collection in your pocket and take heed to it wherever you go," he mentioned at the time.
"With iPod, listening to music will never be the identical once more."
Similar MP3 gamers released by Microsoft and Sony did not have the identical success because the iPod.
Apple has released five variations of its music participant - the Classic, Touch, Shuffle, Mini and Nano.
